Catalogue note: A landscape painter, Virgilio Patiño is renowned for his paintings of lush vegetations, coffee plantations and colourful landscapes. His works have been exhibited in many galleries in Colombia, United States, France, Italy, Venezuela and Panama. In 1994 he received the First Prize in classical painting as well as an Honourable Mention granted by Association of Art Critics and Commentators in Miami.
