Description: Scroll, mounted and framed, ink and colour on silk, 116 x 35 cm. Inscribed and signed, with three seals of the artist, Dated wuyin year (1878)Catalogue note: Born in 1855, Huang Shanshou was a Chinese artist in the late Qing Dynasty. He was good at both painting and calligraphy, painted a vast variety of subjects ranging from figures, mountains and rivers, flowers and birds, and animals and insects. The artist had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Himalayas Art Museum. He died in 1919.
