Catalogue note: The standing figure of Guanyin is carved with a serene expression, wearing a long robe and holding a scroll in her hands. The stone is of a pale spinach-green tone. The standing lady wears a long robe with billowing ribbons. The stone is of a translucent, pale sea-green tone.
Provenance: Acquired from Christie’s, Sale 16311, Lot 262, Invoice no. DB18013545. Acquired prior to 1942, then by descent within the family.
